Chicago --- July 31, 2003: PositiveSpace, the travel agent’s complete
online resource, will hand the reins from its founder, Greg Merkley, to
well-known travel industry consultant and commentator David Wardell. Effective
August 1, Wardell will assume responsibility for the entire PositiveSpace
operation, including editorial responsibility for its popular e-mail
publications – PS Inform and PS Connect – and its website at
www.positivespace.com.
"Our subscribers will be well served by David’s involvement with
PositiveSpace," said Greg Merkley, president of PositiveSpace. "David is not
only one of this country’s foremost experts in travel technology and a widely
published author, but a practical and independent observer of the dynamic travel
business whose point of view can benefit all travel retailers."
PS Inform and PS Connect, the PositiveSpace email publications that jointly
deliver one million email messages each month, and the PositiveSpace website
will all continue to be published under Wardell’s leadership. Future plans
include the development of more original content and greater interactivity with
travel agents, who make up 85 percent of the site’s subscribers.
